Welcome to the world of Crafty Occasions...

We are a husband and wife team with 26 years experience in the design and production of hand crafted personalised and bespoke wooden gifts and furniture.

After our success with our award winning arts and craft shop, tea rooms and guest house, we decided to concentrate on the woodworking business and so formed “Crafty Occasions Ltd”. Stuart's unique gifts are well known and we have many satisfied customers.

Caryn runs the new business whilst Stuart concentrates on making and marketing our products. He loves nothing more than coming up with new ideas and making them work.

Each item is hand crafted from solid timbers in The Gift Creator's workshop. This means that they are not only built to last, but also created with the most particular care and attention to detail.

"The Sittin' Pretty Collection"
We have developed a number of coloured designs ("The Sittin’ Pretty Collection") to decorate your gift and any item can be personalised with a name, occasion and any message at no extra cost.

You can choose any of these to decorate your gift. We laser the outline of the design into the surface and then hand paint each one. This is an ongoing project because the number of designs is growing as we come up with new ideas.

"Captured Forever"
Our state of the art laser engraver means we can laser a photographic image into the surface ("Captured Forever") making an absolutely unique gift. Just post or email the photo or image and details you want, we can then email you a picture showing what the design will look like before you purchase.

Once you are happy with the product, will we make the item and deliver it direct to you, or to a recipient of your choice.

New Developments
We have developed a number of new and successful products. One of our latest is the “Little Wishes”. These are 2”(5cm) diameter heart shaped pieces of Yew wood.

These lend themselves to a whole variety of applications. To say “I love you”, or as place settings at weddings, doubling up as wedding favours, or gifts for Christenings, Birthdays etc.

Bespoke Work

We have made many things over the years and still do make a number of bespoke gifts for our customers. Recently we made a lectern from a piece of Burr Elm. An absolutely unique piece of furniture for a new minister, simply beautiful.
